Pets:
Disciplined pets on owner approval (Butterfly Loft Only). No pets permitted in the Bear Dance Lodge (Bumble Bee & Dragon Fly cabins) Pets are an additional charge of $50 per stay and guests are expected to be fully responsible for their animals. Guests with pets will be required to provide a security deposit of $300 rather than $200. Any damage caused by the pet (stains, floors/carpets, chewing of wood, etc) will be paid in full by the guest. If cost of damage exceeds amount of security deposit, the guest responsible for the pet will pay the difference to compensate SME owner for full amount of damage costs. We are animal lovers and understand your pet is part of your family. Therefore, we want to extend to you the possibility of bringing your pet with you. However, we only allow well trained, house broken pets in order to preserve the cleanliness and quality of the interior for future guests. Pets must be accompanied by their owners and are not to be left inside the cabins alone at any time. Pet owners must also ensure their pets do not run free in the surrounding forest to prevent threatening the local wild life. SME Floor Plans

Smoking Policy:
There is no smoking authorized inside the cabins. Smoking is authorized on the decks and outside of the cabins. We ask that smokers be considerate and ensure all their cigarette butts are picked up and properly disposed. Smokers must take great care during dry conditions to avoid igniting the surrounding brush and ground cover. The area frequently experiences drought conditions. In fall 2000, tens of thousands of acres of National Park Forest along the ridge above SME, and several miles to the north, burned due to suspected careless smoking.
