"Simply Charming"

Shadow Mountain Escape (SME) is three Timber Frame structures located in a beautiful "niche" of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia known as "Jewell Hollow".

The primary timber frame structure is a unique duplex lodge we call "Bear Dance Lodge" cleverly designed with no walls shared between the two independent dwellings.

The two cabins in the main structure are named "Bumble Bee" and "Dragon Fly." They are two story cabins, each with their own full bath, kitchen, fireplace or open face wood stove, deck, and easy access to the outlook tower. Our other cabin is a stand-alone called the "Butterfly Loft."

Shadow Mountain Escape specializes in serving couples and romantic getaways.

• Our accommodations offer a clean climate controlled timber frame cabin with comfortable beds, full kitchen, satellite television, DVD, and modern amenities for comfortable living.
• We are an energy efficient “Virginia Green” business with an on-site recycling center for our guests to utilize.
